Against BoycottWhy Are We Boycotting?
We are boycotting Tim Hortons because of their discriminatory hiring practices, choosing not to employ locals and instead only hiring immigrants. This is unacceptable business conduct, compounded by poor customer service, and it does not reflect the values of the traditional Canadian Tim Hortons that people once respected. Many people are saying they have had negative experiences and feel that the company no longer reflects the values of the traditional Canadian Tim Hortons
What can they do to make right?
To regain our trust, Tim Hortons should: hire locally where possible and be transparent about hiring practices; provide comprehensive customer-service training for all staff; publish a public plan with concrete, time-bound commitments; open a dedicated community feedback channel; and offer goodwill gestures to affected customers (e.g., vouchers, community events). Until meaningful action is taken, we will continue to withhold our patronage.

Customer count estimated as the average unique customers per month across Tim Hortons' ~5,800 locations (Canada and international), assuming roughly 200,000,000 visits/month globally and each customer visits ~5.7 times/month, yielding ~35M unique monthly customers (200M ÷ 5.7 ≈ 35M). Industry benchmarks for coffee chains ($24–$60/month): average check $5.00 × 5.7 visits = $28.50/month/customer. Daily loss: $28.50 ÷ 30 = $0.95. Gross monthly revenue: 35M × $28.50 = $997,500,000.
